We had a lovely night out earlier this week at the BBC studios in Bristol at the Media Innovation Awards picking up an award in the marketing and advertising category.
The awards, now in their sixth consecutive year recognise the output of media, music and design networks across the South West.
Media Innovation Awards for Marketing and Advertising
We were nominated in the ‘Marketing & Advertising’ category for our content marketing film, ‘Who’s Lenny?’ which we produced last year for Bristol City Council. We were up against Wonky Films / AMVBBDO production for Capital One and Aardman Digital / Wieden & Kennedy’s ‘Gulp’, produced for Nokia. Aardman’s film had taken home a Bronze at Cannes earlier this year and I think it would be fair to say we didn’t exactly fancy our chances, but we were both delighted, and extremely surprised to WIN!
Judges commented that ‘Who’s Lenny?‘ was:
“an outstanding and engaging project that both entertained and educated the audience on the history and culture behind the world of graffiti while effectively promoting the initiative.”
We joined other winners on the night from Myttol William, Big Bang Post Production and Aardman Digital, who also took home the Outstanding Contribution to Innovation gong. A full breakdown of winners and nominees can be viewed after the break…
